Desk setup changes that spare your neck
Most neck complaints we see in East Vancouver desk workers come from a screen that sits too low, a chair that lets the hips slide forward, and four hours without standing up.
Start with the screen
The top of the monitor should sit near eye level. Laptops fail this test. A stand plus a separate keyboard is usually enough.
Then the chair
Hips slightly above knees, feet on the floor, low back supported.
Use a timer, not willpower
Stand or walk for two minutes each half hour.
If pain is running into the arm, waking you at night, or followed a car accident, book an exam.
